Hey there, Snickerdoodle!

I am so excited for the opportunity to support you as you cultivate your writing skills.

My name is Holly Larson. I’m a registered dietitian and nutrition copywriter. I’m also a copywriting mentor for dietitians wanting to learn solid writing skills in a fun and doable way. It took a while to find my place in the world of nutrition but I am so happy to be an entrepreneur!

In school, I never received instruction in how to write with my target audience in mind.

Did you?

When I was a student, the writing we practiced was rooted in science and heavy-laden with jargon…in other words: major snoozefest.

This lack of training is a pity! We were trained in counseling techniques to conduct meaningful and impactful meetings with clients face-to-face.

However, I believe that writing is just as essential; we must be able to express ourselves clearly and effectively if our readers are going to benefit at all from the information that we provide.

Without proper communication, we cannot help them progress toward better health. Full stop.

When I was starting to get interested in writing, I wasn’t sure how to get started actually learning new skills. People said “just practice” but that advice drove me b-a-n-a-n-a-s and felt totally unhelpful.

Practice what, exactly?

To save you that frustration, I am providing you with ten specific and concrete ways to practice your writing skills and feel more confident.

Let’s get started!
